To partner with underserved, marginalized, and vulnerable communities
in economically distressed hotspots to achieve social justice and inspire lasting change.
Bridgeton, NJ is a small urban city with a community in crisis facing myriad challenges. Our vision is to create opportunities for those struggling in our community to thrive, and replicate our model throughout communities in crisis across the nation.
Identifying the geographic epicenter of Bridgeton, we put down roots by purchasing a large commercial building on 40 East Commerce Street and opened our doors to the community to join together in inventing solutions to serious social and economic problems.
Since our opening in 2016, Hopeloft has purchased 80,000 sq. ft. of real estate in downtown Bridgeton; incubated and launched 40+ new nonprofit organizations and social enterprises that are housed within our facilities; and catalyzed more than $50 million in resources to transform the entire community into a campus for social justice and community revitalization.
Bridgeton, once a symbol of urban blight,
is now a hotbed of social innovation.
