About the event
Join us in a mindful, thoughtful, strengthening 60 minutes Yoga practice that can accommodate all levels of experience and ability in the beautiful and soothing setting of Eastern Sky Co-Op's space on the second floor of Hopeloft.
This slower-paced Hatha (physical) class offers gentle Yoga practice, paired with breath work at your own pace. It is designed to gradually increase your flexibility, while slowly building muscle strength through holding basic Yoga postures.
There will be some simple Vinyasa flows through-out this afternoon practice to awaken the body and spirit, sprinkled with meditations to clear the mind and to release stress.
This class is perfect for those who want to experience the physical and mental benefits of Yoga, but who is unsure of where to start, or who wants to re-start their practice. Modifications will be suggested for those who have limitation of movement, and pacing of the class will be guided accordingly. For those who are more experienced, deeper expressions of the poses will be offered to further their practice and increase flexibility and strength.
This is a multi-level class. Please BYO mat…there will be only a few available. If you have blocks, or use a blanket/similar prop for your knees or to sit on, please bring them…there will be a few available.
To respect others’ time, classes will begin promptly and end on time.
Advance notice is not required… $10 cash donation to support Gallery 50, a non-profit volunteer organization, and the Eastern Sky Co-op, a non-profit social organization. Follow us on FaceBook @EasternSkyCoOp and @hopeloft. We look forward to joining you as we share our practice together, Namaste!
