Hopeloft Highlight: Self Love and Eastern Sky Co-Op

Updated: Jun 17, 2020

We've got so many amazing initiatives, programs and collaborative partners here at the Hopeloft and today we're going to highlight two of our community favorites: Self Love and the Eastern Sky Co-Op.

First up is Self Love, a vegan cafe that's changing people's perception about what vegan food can be! Self Love was started in 2016 by Vinnie Straub and Kirsti Snyder who wanted to breathe fresh life into the Bridgeton area using their incredible talents as vegan chefs. In the three years since it began, Self Love has become a staple of Bridgeton and is known for its amazingly delicious meals and healthy options that everyone can enjoy. The cafe features vegan options on a wide variety of traditional meals such as cheeseburgers, wraps, chicken tenders, smoothies, and much more!

Self Love works primarily out of their brick-and-mortar cafe here at the Hopeloft, located at 40 E. Commerce Street in downtown Bridgeton. They're open Monday through Thursday from 11AM - 3:30PM. Free coffee is also available inside until 2PM!

In addition, Self Love also has a food truck which is used to cater events throughout South Jersey! The monthly schedule for these events can be found on their Facebook page and their Instagram. If you're interested in having them host an event of your own, please contact them via their pages!

The Eastern Sky Co-Op is a non-profit social club whose members are dedicated to growing and sharing their practice with each other. They promote regular Yoga practice and encourage everyone, regardless of skill level or physical abilities, to experience the spiritual and physical benefits of Yoga.

There's a wide variety of classes that run weekly, from Morning Yoga which is held every Thursday at 9:30AM on the 1st Floor of the Hopeloft, to their Wise Warriors course which is held on the 3rd Floor at 3:15PM each Tuesday of the week. Every course offers unique, multi-level practices for those just starting out and for the more experienced.

Everybody is invited and welcome to attend classes — no membership is required. Unless otherwise specified, advance sign-up is not necessary. Please be on time, as classes will start and end promptly! Classes are also BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat), though a few will be available, with a suggested donation of $10 cash for expenses.
